Hollister High School on Advanced Placement (AP) Program Honor Roll

Hollister High School was recently notified by the College Board that it has been named to the Advanced Placement (AP) Program Honor Roll, earning bronze recognition for developing an AP program that creates a college-going culture and gives students opportunities to earn college credit and maximize their college outcomes.  

Hollister High School on Best High Schools List Five Years in a Row

For the fifth year in a row, Hollister High School has been ranked as a “Best High School” by U.S. News & World Report, which identifies the country’s top-performing public high school and measures how well schools serve students from various social and economic backgrounds. HHS is ranked in the top 40 percent of schools nationally (3,901 out of 17,680 schools) improving its ranking from 4,015 out of 17,843 schools last year.

Hollister High Named Green Ribbon School

State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond announced Thursday that Hollister High School is one of 14 schools in the state to have earned a 2023 California Green Ribbon Schools award. “We congratulate this year’s honorees,” said State Superintendent Thurmond. “California Green Ribbon Schools exemplify leading-edge models for improved indoor air quality, outdoor classrooms, and whole-school environmental education. Students in these schools address global problems such as climate change and local challenges including water quality, food security, energy conservation, waste diversion, and emotional health.”
